Awana Sportsmanship Award

AwanaGames teams (Club, JV and Varsity/Journey 24-7) are evaluated starting the moment they walk onto the game floor for the Awana Sportsmanship Award. This award recognizes a team that has gone above and beyond the norm to show true Christian Sportsmanship exemplified in attentiveness, praising players (on any team), Christian attitudes (from team members and coaches) and general conduct.

NEW: Rather than the floating Sportsmanship Award, the church awarded with the Sportsmanship Award receives a team plaque that they get to keep. The 3rd-6th grade Sportsmanship Award is named in memory of Jerry Ansted while the JV/Varsity Sportsmanship Award is in memory of Hal Murphy. Both of these men are former Awana Capital Region Ministry Team members who served faithfully and have gone home to be with the Lord.

Below is a copy of the actual form used when evaluating teams for sportsmanship.
